The first Otani was founded in Mayfield Heights, OH in 1978 by Kazushige Honda, and was the very first restaurant in Ohio to serve sushi. Since then, two more Otani Restaurants have emerged: Otani Akron in 1991 and Otani Columbus in 1984. Chef Honda is the current owner of Otani Columbus, which is renown for serving some of the best sushi and Japanese cuisine in the city!
